I am Making Movies Premiere Awards

On Sunday the 19th of June our school went to represent Pt England, at the I am making movies premiere awards at the Auckland Museum.
My dad came and he had a lot of fun.

There were 7 entries from our school and only 3 went to the finals. The first finalist from our school was from Miss Kings class. Their movie was called ‘Don`t forget your roots’. Their category was best production work from years 5 to 8. They won that category.

The other finalist was from Mrs Lagitupu. Our class had two movies and both of them were in the finals. One of the movies was called ‘Our history, Our heritage’. Their category was best creative storytelling. They won that category. The other finalist movie was called ‘Men of courage’ but they did`t win. I was part in that movie.

Now we come to the most best thing of all. The supreme award for that category was for the best movie out of all the movies, and the winner was Our History Our heritage from Pt England. The prize for that category was an award and a video camera.

I had a lot of fun because I got to meet Charlie from What Now and Robyn Malcolm from Outrageous Fortune. The best part at the museum was when the Pride of Auckland choir performed.

Hi Musse

Great post. You are very lucky that you got to get your photo taken with a couple of NZ celebrities. I enjoyed watching and listening to the Pride of Auckland choir performing.
